Prince of Peace Center is a non-profit social service agency located in Farrell, Pennsylvania. As an affiliate of the Erie Diocese Catholic Charities and a United Way of Mercer County organization, we continue to strive to support the people of our community who are in need of a hand up as they begin to restore their lives. We are dedicated to strengthening families, building community, and reducing poverty throughout all of Mercer County through our various service programs.
Help your Neighbor
We’re serving an average of 200 meals per Soup Kitchen day! The funds raised through Giving Week 2023 will help to cover the costs of take-away containers and help feed our community.
Donation Matching
A portion of your donation through the Giving Week 2023 portal will be matched by the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH.
Circle of Friends
Through your recurring gift of $10.00 a month, the Center will be able to maintain its services for our neighbors.
It is our hope that the number of people we are able to serve will expand significantly as a result of forming this circle of supporters.
As an example, a $10.00 monthly donation from just five Circle members can provide a full Soup Kitchen meal to 30 children from our community who come to share it; ten such donations will pay part of a rent or utility bill for a struggling family who would otherwise face homelessness, no power, or lack of running water in the home.
